Thomas has 21 years experience teaching EFL in Chile. He has worked with students from all levels, ages and school settings, elementary to tertiary, He served on the TESOL Chile Board in various positions from 2004 - 2011, including one term as President (2010 - 2011). Currently he is doing an MA in TEFL at Universidad Andrés Bello in Santiago, Chile. His research interests include textbook evaluation, debating in an EFL context, academic writing, and reading comprehension. He has authored several publications and books in these areas.
