Kathryn Pawelko is a middle-school English Language Arts teacher at Baker Prairie Middle School in Canby, Oregon.  She is a graduate of the M.Ed. Curriculum and Instruction program in the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences at the University of Idaho (2020). She holds Idaho and Oregon certification for secondary education with endorsements in History/ Social Studies, English, Spanish, Humanities, and ESL She also has earned a MA TESL in the Department of English in the College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences at the University of Idaho (2019), and a BA with majors in History and Spanish and a minor in Religious Philosophy from the same institution (2014). Kathryn has experience working international as an Auxiliar de Conversacion with the Ministerio de Educacion in Madrid Spain. Kathryn is passionate about YA literature and incorporating multi-modal writing and engagement within the K-12 classroom.
